Washington Winery is already having a presence in a popular neighborhood in North End.

The Kludt-Williams Family Winery is open to 1611 N 13th St. In Hyde Park. After an antique shop, the cheerful blue house has become a tasting room.

Owners Ben and April Williams have long been in the wine industry and have recently decided to expand to Boise.

“All three children live here in Boyz. It started with my daughter, who visited Boyz State and we somehow fell in love with Boyz and the area, “Williams said. “We thought,” Man, this is a really great winery market. ”

Winery for Property in Lake Chelan

Williams owns a vineyard of 40 acres, Lake Celan Winery, which was the first winery in the area of ​​Lake Chelan. They also operate a restaurant and a tasting room called Wapato Point Celars in Manson, Washington.

“We have been in the wine business for over 25 years. We started as producers of tree fruit producers in the North Central Washington, the area of ​​Lake Chelan, “Williams said. “When this industry took a beating in the late 1990s, we switched to growing grapes and started the wine industry there. Now there are about 40 wineries in the Chelan valley. ”

The Celan Lake Wine and its private labels for Wapato Point cellars and the Kludt-Williams family winery focus on property grown wines. This means that their wines are made from grapes grown in their winery, and they manage the whole process of creating wine.

“There are no longer many operations in the wine industry nowadays that grow from beginning to end,” he said. “When we plant the first vine, when we sell the last bottle, we are in it every step of the way.”

Even with growth, they are proud to be family and focus on “building a community”.

“Our mantra has always been to build a community where we are, and that’s why we are everything. This is definitely a family operation, with three generations of farmers/winemakers, “he said. “Now our son, Stephen, will manage the Hyde Park tasting room.”

In his new Boise Tasting room, Williams said they would offer a variety of wines cooked in Lake Celan winery, including “wine made exclusively for this tasting room.”

As the Celan Lake Winery is located latitude, comparable to the Rhone Valley in Frace, the wine varieties include cheese, Malbek, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, Pinot Svris and some sparkling varieties.
