Arrest made in a deadly shooting of 2022. Birch – WAFB

Baton Rouge, La. (WAFB) – A man was arrested for murder after shooting, which happened nearly three years ago.

The shooting took place back in March 2022 on Brach Street near a picturesque highway.

Responsible employees found the victim identified as Fredrick Harris, 21, shot dead many times over. He was declared dead on stage.

During the investigation process, police managed to develop Joseph Jacobs, 31 as a suspected shooting.

Jacobs was booked at the parish prison in East Baton Ruzh for a second -degree murder.

Police say he has been arrested repeatedly on drugs and weapons and has a vast crime history since 2010.

The motive for the shooting is not yet known at this point.

This is a continuing investigation.
