The ninth annual summer camp offers a unique opportunity for young students to explore their career in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) with STEM professionals, including scientists and researchers at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratories. This Two -week free for students Camp held at the New Mexico School of Arts will explore topics related to Energy and energy security (Reliable, affordable access to all fuels and energy sources) and offers students a chance to strengthen their understanding of how STEM improves the world around us through practical activities, demonstrations, tour or national laboratory in Los Alamos, conversations and multi -day hands on the engineering project S
Students will learn the principles of physics, engineering, bioengineering, chemistry, computer programming and cybersecurity and will apply their knowledge in a number of exciting practically multi -day projects. They will also explore various energy sources, including solar, wind, geothermal and nuclear energy, to better understand the challenges that modern society face.
Participants will also learn a wide range of professional skills, including:

When: June 2-13, 2025, Monday-Friday, 9:00 to 16:30.
What: practical activities and demonstrations, tours, lectures, professional development and interactive projects in physics, engineering, computer science, chemistry, environmental science, robotics and others
Where: Art School in New Mexico, Santa Fe (very well connected to NM Public Transport: Nm Park & Ride, NM Rail Runner, Santa Fe Trails System)
How: This is a daytime camp, but a limited number of free residential places will be available to selected students living more than 60 miles from Santa Fe and cannot travel to the camp every day.
