Apple TV’s Severance Season 2 Trailer Offers… – Incl

The first full trailer for Severance Season 2 is here — and it looks just as intense and mysterious as we’ve come to expect.

Created by Dan Erickson and directed by Ben Stiller, the hit Apple TV Plus show centers on co-workers Mark (Adam Scott), Healy (Britt Lauer), Dylan (Zach Cherry) and Irving (John Turturro) who all work in a sinister biotech a company called Lumon Industries. Before being assigned there, they each agreed to undergo a “disruption,” a surgical procedure that splits consciousness between work and, well, non-work.

Season 1 explored the five’s disillusionment with their separate existences, culminating in a diabolical finale where they were able to “switch on” their minds outside the office — and crazy revelations surrounding Mark’s wife and Helly, too. (For a more in-depth look at the final episode, check out our spoiler-filled breakdown of Severance’s season 1 finale.)

Naturally, it gives away next to nothing, but the promo, which you can watch above, begins with Scott’s Mark frantically running through the halls of Lumon’s Macrodata Refinement floor. A montage follows, offering us glimpses of Ms. Selvig/Patricia Arquette’s Mrs. Kobel burrows into an underground tunnel, a (goat?) hair-lined corridor and a watermelon carved to look like Irving…

It ends with Mark running into three new employees – played by Bob Balaban, Alia Shaukat and Stefano Caranante – as Tramel Tillman’s smiling Milchic ominously says, “Welcome back Mark S. It’s been a minute…”

Merritt Weaver, Ólafur Darry Ólafsson, Robbie Benson, John Noble and Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie are among the new recruits joining the office-based mayhem in Season 2 — though we don’t see them in the new clip.

“It’s really fun and I can’t wait for everyone to see it so I don’t have to keep keeping secrets, which is a shame,” Scott previously said of the new batch of episodes in an interview with Deadline. “But yeah, there’s so much crazy stuff going on, I just can’t wait for everyone to see it.”

Season 1 of Severance is currently airing. If you haven’t tuned in yet and you like the look of the teaser above, you’ll definitely want to before Season 2 premieres on January 17, 2025. This isn’t the kind of show where you can just take things as you go. .
