Anthony Davis and Kiri Irving finally reach the team.
Davis addressed the media on Tuesday after the shocking trade, which sent him to Dallas Maverix and Luca Doncic in Los Angeles Lakers. The 10-time All-Star said he was excited about this move, to a large extent, because he and Irving were talking about merging for years.
“I am very excited. I mean, me and [Irving] I talked about it, I think in 2018, when I asked for a New Orleans trade, “said Davis.” He was in Boston, I think at that time and he eventually went to Brooklyn. But, you know, we want to play from each other for a very long time. And now we have the opportunity to do it. “

Davis is 31, while Irving is 32 and they have outlined similar paths in the NBA. They were every # 1 NBA draft chosen back in the back of the back: Irving in 2011 and Davis in 2012. They have a combined 18 All-Star appearances and they both won the Championship with LeBron James, Irving in 2016. With Cleveland Cavaliers and Davis in 2020 with Lakers.
The two have to form a great duet from the inside out as long as they play together.
