The NBA trading deadline is on Thursday. With one of the most important dates on the calendar, the New Orleans Pelicans have one of the least certain future in the league.

New Orleans has a long list of problems to sort out before the deadline. Determining what is happening with Brandon Ingram, the ahead star, who is planned to be an unlimited free agent in this extra -season, is a top priority. The Pelicans offered Ingram offers last summer, but there was no much grip on a potential deal.

Beyond Ingram, the Pelicans also have to decide how much they are engaged to keep Zion Williamson. Will they try to get some future tracks, wanting to move CJ Mccollum to a contender? Then there is the constant effort of the team to be suffered under the threshold of the luxury tax, the only move that is almost guaranteed to happen on or before Thursday. And as if things are not complicated enough, the Achilles destruction of Dejun Murray last week gives rise to even more concerns about how this team will continue, if they are remembered, it will force him to miss the beginning of the 2025-26 season.
