Anhelo, the fine dining restaurant at 114 W. Adams St., #C103 in downtown Phoenix, is moving. Set to close its current location on Saturday, November 23, Anhelo is scheduled to reopen at 7007 E. 1St in Scottsdale this winter. In its place, chef and owner Ivan Jacobo plans to open Flour and Thyme, a contemporary American bistro, before the end of the year.

“It is bittersweet to close Anhelo in Phoenix, but I am excited to give our downtown residents and visitors a new concept that will be more in line with their needs,” said Jacobo. “We look forward to moving Anhelo to Scottsdale early next year and continuing to grow it into a global dining destination.”
While he looks forward to the opportunity to expand Anhelo in Scottsdale, the downtown Phoenix dining community holds a special place in Jacobo’s heart. He’s excited to continue there with Flour and Thyme, which will feature a contemporary American bistro-style menu. Flour and Thyme was originally going to be located in its own Tempe neighborhood. But by chance this plan failed and new plans began to take shape.
Jacobo considers the Flour and Thyme a “thank you” to the Phoenix visitors for helping him build Anhelo. He hopes Flour and Thyme will better serve diners there, whether they live nearby or head downtown for a game, concert or other event. Following in the footsteps of Anhelo, Flour and Thyme will offer an incredible menu of land, sea and garden dishes, along with an excellent wine program as well as specialty cocktails.
