LSU legend Angel Reese will return to Baton Rouge when Wnba’s Chicago sky plays an exhibition game against the Assembly Center of Pete Maravic. On Friday, the school announced that the sky would play the Brazilian national team on May 2.
Reese played two seasons in LSU after moving from Maryland and she became one of the best players at Basketball College. As a junior, Reese an average of 23.0 points per game while leading the tigers to the National Championship. She followed this with an exceptional senior season before being drawn up from the sky with the total choice of No. 7 in the WNBA 2024 project.

“I’m very excited that the sky will play a pre -season game in LSU,” Reese says in a statement. “It will be amazing to go back to Baton Rouge, a community that means so much to me. LSU was essential for my WNBA preparation and I can’t wait to hit the court in front of Sky’s tigers and fans!”
LSU coach Kim Bullyki said Reese played a big role in turning the program into a national title contender, and she was excited to see fans welcome her back to Baton Rouge.
“We are glad to host a game of WNBA in May with the participation of Chicago Sky and Angel Reese,” Blvish said. “Angel played a major role in creating our LSU program and I know that our fans will be excited to return it to PMAC. She had such a great season for a rookie and we can’t wait to continue to watch her in WNBA.”
In his season, the recruits with the sky Reese an average of 13.6 points and 13.1 fights per game, while finishing second in Caitlin Clark in a rookie of the year.
