The men of Pep Guardiola won the last four Premier League titles, but this season the trophy looks ready for Anfield, with the Reds entering the weekend with eight points a pillow on top.
City are 17 points from the leaders and deviate from the 3-1 bruising in Real Madrid in the Champions League, but Robertson is expecting a reaction to the Etihad Stadium.

“This is still an incredibly difficult place,” said Liverpool’s long -standing lev back.
“Certainly, since I was here, our record is not great from my memories. We may have had a few draws and similar things. It has always been a difficult place for us.
“They have fantastic players. Okay, they may have a difficult season, but I think last weekend they showed last weekend against Newcastle that they can still patron teams.
“We have to be the best thing, this is the only way to do it. And if we are at the best case, we believe that we can create problems with the team.
“But it will be difficult. We have to recover, to rest as much as we can, because the schedule was difficult – but we will be ready to continue on Sunday.

“The whole squad must be ready, the manager continues to say that the bench boys should be ready to influence.
“After we go through the next two games, then we have a little break where we have no game over the weekend.
“We just have to continue to run this and if we do, let’s see where we are afterwards.”
Liverpool have never won the highest flight against the city’s city side of Guardiola, with their last victory in the Premier League at Etihad Stadium, which comes in November 2015.
Robertson is looking forward to challenging as the Reds are looking to start with their disappointing 2-2 at Aston Villa on Wednesday.
“This, I suppose, the beauty of football – you never know how important the results are defined by the end of the season,” told Club Media the Scotland International.

“But we definitely had a chance to return our noses in the front – when it was one in the first half, when we went to two, we had the big chance.
“But, look, this is part of football and these guys will be at the goal again and we hope they take the risk.
“We do not know if this is the accumulated point, two points have dropped out, what it will be, but we just have to continue to press.
“I think the performance levels were good enough. We have been fighting really hard and we have to take the point and now we have to move forward because the schedule is difficult for us right now. “
