Andrea Gallery in Scottsdale presents its Valentine’s Day exhibit, featuring romantic florals by world-renowned artist Andrea de Kerpelly-Zacques, wearable Valentine’s floral art by Andrea Zakraczewski, and featured works by artists Richard Johnson and Sarah McKenzie.
Best known for his loose impressionistic florals, Hungarian-born artist de Kerpeli-Zack created a special series of miniature and large-scale works with a Valentine’s Day theme.
“With the changing light, I create a mood or a moment in time,” says De Kerpelly-Zack. “I achieve this through my spontaneous brushstrokes.”
Customizable Valentine floral art, including dresses, scarves and skirts, is also featured by fashion designer Andrea Zakrzewski, whose designs have been seen on the runway at numerous fashion shows.
Andrea Gallery also features the work of Sarah McKenzie, an abstract/mixed media artist exploring inner, subconscious experience and its relationship to color, form and texture, and the work of Richard Johnson, an oil painter known for his contemporary expressionism and abstraction.
“I’ve always loved the human figure,” Johnson says. “The ability to not only depict the figure, but to tell the story within that picture.”
Johnson studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the American Academy of Arts.
Andrea Gallery is located at 7019 E. Main St. in Scottsdale.
