VIRGINIA BEACH\, Va. (WDBJ) – Virginia State Police and the Virginia Missing Children’s Information Center have issued an AMBER Alert as part of the search for a 12-year-old boy who police say was abducted.
Virginia Beach police say the boy was abducted on January 24, 2025. around 9 am. Police say they believe the boy is in “extreme danger” and they don’t know who took him.
Police say Juan Sebastian Mejia Acevedo was last seen in the 200 block of Mica Avenue in Virginia Beach. He is Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes, 5′ 8″ and 105 pounds. When he was last reported seen, he was wearing blue pants, a red hoodie and black shoes. Police say he has no scars, marks or tattoos.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call 911 or the Virginia State Police at 757/385-5000.
