WILMINGTON, DEL — Wilmington police have arrested an individual allegedly involved in drug-related activities. On October 29th, at approximately 1:03 p.m., officers from the Narcotics, Organized Crime and Vice Unit were on patrol in the 800 block of Kirkwood Street when they observed suspicious behavior which led them to confront Shawn McDougall.
McDougall, 28, was already wanted on an outstanding warrant on an unrelated charge. After making contact with him, authorities discovered he was in possession of 15.35 grams of crack cocaine and 1.11 grams of heroin.
The charges against Mcdougle include multiple counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in a level 2 amount, possession with intent to deliver and possession in both level 1 and level 2 amounts. Following his arrest, he was arraigned in 11 Magistrate Court, where he was given a $19,000 secured bond and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution.
It is important to note that allegations remain allegations; McDougal, like all defendants, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. As the investigation continues, further developments may emerge.
