The Alabama High School Football Championships return to the Birmingham Defense Stadium in 2025.
The decision to play in the magical city this year was taken at the central meeting of the Central Council of Alabama Athletic Association (AHSAA) today.
Super 7 Change of Form
Changes to the super 7 host sites were made as Tuscaloosa and Auburn were removed from the rotation due to the new playoff format of the College of Football. As a result, AHSAA began discussing alternative places to be used with Birmingham.
Joining Birmingham in the rotation is Mobile’s Hancok-Utyni Stadium, the University of South Alabama Jaguars and the Senior Cup.
“We are grateful to the cities Tuscaloosa, Auburn and Opelika, Auburn University, the University of Alabama and their tourist offices for the display of Super 7 championships at the next level. We think we now have an exceptional plan and are glad to continue working with Birmingham and now mobile as we strive to preserve our Super 7 envy of many other countries across the country. “
Heath Harmon, CEO of AHSAA
