BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A new project is underway to preserve the legacy of one of Birmingham’s most prominent entrepreneurs and civil rights activists.
Officials announced the AG Gaston Legacy Project on Wednesday, October 30, to highlight Gaston’s incredible story.
This includes republishing his autobiography, Green Power, and releasing it as an audiobook, which will include accounts by those who also knew Gaston.
“AG Gaston had such a pivotal role in Birmingham, but his story we can all benefit from where it started and where it ended,” said Birmingham City Councilor Clinton Woods.
There will also be a contest for the cover of Gaston’s biography.
