Harry Reid International Airport will on Friday welcome the first flight of Aer Lingus, Ireland’s flagship airline known for its shamrock livery.
The airline’s 317-passenger twin-engine Airbus A330-300 is due to arrive from Dublin at 5.50pm before turning around for the return flight departing at 7.35pm.
Normally the seasonal service, which will run until April, will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
At the inaugural arrival on Friday, representatives from Reid International and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority will greet passengers.
Bill Byrne, Aer Lingus’ director of global sales and North America, and Marcela Smith, Consul General of Ireland in the South West United States, are scheduled to deliver remarks upon arrival.
Aer Lingus will become the 19th international carrier to fly to Las Vegas Airport and Dublin will be the 20th international destination – the eighth overseas – served to and from Reed.
