Act now funding available for conservation practices – Vermont Bus

The Vermont Natural Resources Service (NRCS) has just opened ACT now a fund that provides payments to farmers for common conservation and planning activities.

Choose EQIP Conservation Practices for Cultures such as Roof Culture, No, Reduced to and Nutrition Management, as well as many planning activities such as forest management plans and complete nutrient management plans are eligible for this cycle of action Now funding.

Now ACT allows the NRC to prepare a pre -ranked EQIP application if this application meets or exceeds the status assessment of the minimum threshold. This means that there may be less time to wait when farms submit an application to sign a potential contract.

The ACT Fund pools are now separate from the other NRCS fund pools. The funds are available on the first time, first service. Participants who apply must be registered and meet the conditions of the Agency for Agricultural Services.

EQIP FY2025 contracts will not be subject to payment restrictions identified in the Farm Bill for 2018; The restrictions on regulatory contracts are still applying. If you have given up the limitation of the payment of the bill for 2018, this is an exciting opportunity to receive funding!

Opportunities to finance the producers of dairy and animals

Join UVM Extension Dairy Team and Partner Organizations February 6th In Norwich, to get acquainted with the funding opportunities available to the producers of dairy and animals in Vermont. We will review the funding roads, the graphics for 2025 and what types of projects are eligible for funding with focusing on financing of agriculture, climate reduced.

The team will facilitate the interactive process for participants to build an effective description of the farm, which includes the mission and vision for their work, which can be included in any application. Although this seminar is specifically designed for Vermont manufacturers, New Hampshire manufacturers are also welcome to attend.

Vermont Tourism Sessions

The Department of Tourism and Marketing in Vermont (VDTM) has launched a strategic planning process across the country to develop the first of its kind strategic plan to manage the Vermont destination. As one of the first steps in this process, VDTM will conduct listening sessions across the country between February 10 and 14S

These listening sessions are intended to explore various aspects of Vermont visitors’ economy, including current and future challenges, opportunities and priorities to support the visit throughout the country. Annual Meeting of Tree Fruit Producers

The Vermont Fruit Producers Association, along with the UVM Fruit Program, will hold their 129th annual meeting on Friday, February 21 in the Hall of the American Legion in Middlebury.

The topics for the meeting will include disease management; Management of the bitter pit; and new uses for plant growth regulators. In addition, updates will be shared by the USDA Risk Management Agency, Agriculture for Agriculture, Food and Markets in Vermont and the Ministry of Health in Vermont.
