A woman arrested for murder nearly 3 months after the crash at Glendale’s home – Arizona’s family

Glendale, AZ (Azfamily) – Police have arrested nearly three months after a car crashed into the living room of Glendale’s home and struck a woman inside who died a few days later.

22-year-old Celeste La Sean Downer was arrested this week in connection with the death of 35-year-old Amanda Rogers.

On Sunday, November 10, 2024, Rogers was critically wounded when a car got into her home of Wallhala Lane near the 67th Avenue and Biersley Road. She was nailed under the car when crews arrived and taken to a hospital where she died a week later.

Police say Downer had two passengers in the car, a 24-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy. According to court documents, one of the passengers came out and found a small child under debris next to the car. The passenger raised the child who had not been injured and found the child’s father nearby.

Previously, neighbors told Arizona’s family that Rogers decorated a Christmas tree when the crash occurred.

The records show that the car was traveling at 37 miles / h when it hit the house.

According to police in Glendale, she had a BAC of .124. It has been reported that she has told the employees that on a scale of one to ten per depreciation, she is rated as six.

Since November, police have been waiting for results and data on vehicle toxicology tests. Based on these results, along with police reports, statements by witnesses and videos, detectives arrested Dower on Tuesday.

She was booked on charges, including the murder and a second -degree threat.
