A woman is accused of Monday night, shooting the death of her ex -boyfriend in Birmingham.
24-year-old Vivian Simone Brantley has been charged with murder in the murder of 47-year-old Damian Dawson, a father of five.
Brantley surrendered at police after Dawson was killed and reserved at Birmingham City prison. The order against her was issued Wednesday by the District Prosecutor’s Office of Jefferson.
The fatal shots rose around 5:40 pm in the 100 blocks of the ninth court west. This area is close to the Hills College Community.
Policeman Truman Fitzgerald said the staff of the northern section had been sent to the neighborhood on a report of a shot man.
They arrived to find Dawson on the alley of a family member home.
The Birmingham fire department and rescue service brought him to UAB Hospital, where he was declared dead at 6:01 pm.
Family members are devastated by his death.
Dawson was in a new relationship and Brantley couldn’t take it, they said.
