Christopher Davis was arrested in January 2023 for being claimed to have fired a man during a dispute on Edwin Street. According to WBRZ, it was not planned to be transported by the date of his court on March 17.

Moore is not sure why he was transported so early, two whole months before he is ready to appear in court. The Sheriff’s Service in the East Baton Rouge and the District Prosecutor were not informed that Davis had been transported until the parish authorities in East Carol were notified of the mistake.

Why did you put it first? You all tell us that he should not have been released, but he was released, you made a big hiccup, “said a member of the Davis family.” When your protocol is to pick up a van and drive [him] to the EBR Parish Prison and Prison releases [him]But you leave [him] Outside the bus station he did not escape, you let him goS “

Davis was removed overnight on Sunday, according to East Baton Rouge prison staff.
