Christopher Davis was arrested in January 2023 for being claimed to have fired a man on Edwin Street after a dispute.

According to officials, it is not known why Davis had dropped out at the bus station, and East Carol The parish informed the employees after the fact. WBRZ turned to the East Carroll’s parish staff and expects an answer.

Officials also said Davis was not planned to return to the parish of Eastern Baton Rouge until March 17 for the date of court. Eastern Baton District Prosecutor Ruzh Hilar Moore said Davis was transported to the parish prison in East Baton Ruzh, along with other East Carol prisoners, who had to be released at the bus station.

Neither Evso nor the District Prosecutor’s Office knew that Davis had been transferred to the parish prison, according to Moore. Moore says it is not clear why Davis was transported almost two months before the date of the court.

Davis’s family talks to WBRZ, saying that they are not only worried about Davis’s safety, but also about their safety.

“We worry about him because this is my son, who would not worry about his children if they love them?”, Said a family member.

The family said they were not aware of the apparent release of Davis until the deputies appeared in their home, looking for him.

“They said we don’t have it, one person says one thing, another person [is saying] Another thing, we are trying to understand what is happening, is this a setting? “

However, they were confused by how Davis was released.

“Why did you let him go first? You will tell us that he should not be released, but he was released, you made a big hiccup,” said a member of the Davis family. “When your protocol is to pick up a van and drive [him] to the EBR Parish Prison and Prison releases [him]But you leave [him] Outside the bus station he did not escape, you let him go. “

The family called on Davis to surrender to the authorities.

Anyone with Davis’s location information is recommended to call 911 or Ebro’s office on 225-389-5000. WBRZ will sit on Davis’s family at 10pm
