Twin Lakes, wis. (CBS) -The Recovery Mission was underway at the end of Thursday after a all-terrain vehicle was broke through the ice of Elizabeth Lake in Blmsetsi Lakes, Wisconsin, leaving a man in the water.

The 70-year-old man remained unwell for Thursday night after ending under water in Elizabeth Lake. Twin Lakes police chief Katie Hall said the search for a man had switched from rescue to recovery – which means that the man was not thought to be alive.

The other two who were on ATVs managed to do it safely and were appreciated by saving Twin Lakes. They decided not to go to the hospital.

The Wisconsin Natural Resources Department was helping to search for a 70-year-old man. The department warned that it was not safe to go to the ice in the area.

Twin Lakes is located in Kenosha County, Wisconsin just above the Illinois state line. He is named after the two lakes that the city surrounds – Elizabeth Lake and Lake Mary.
