A pair of former women’s basketball stars of South Carolina traded – ON3

South Carolina Women’s Basketball Commerce Basketball Allums Harris and Kiki Herbert Harrigan are traded. Just days after Harris was distributed from the sun in the Connecticut to Mercury Phoenix, she is back on the move. This time, however, the three -brown blockbuster made WNBA titles.

The full details of the trade (as reported by ESPN’s Alexa Philippou) are: the wings in Dallas receive Harris, the rights of Herbert Harrigan, Izasa Smith and Selection No. 8 (through Indiana fever); Mercury Phoenix accepts Satu Sabali, Kalani Brown and Sevgi Uzon; Indiana fever accept Sophie Cunningham and choice No. 19 (through Phoenix Mercury).

With the wording of Herbert Harrigan’s “rights”, it is unclear if she will remain with the wings. She returned to the WNBA list and saw her first 2021 court action with Mercury, Herbert Harrigo played a solid defense as a multifaceted reserve.

Trade sends Harris back to his first WNBA detachment. The wings in Dallas chose her in the first round (seventh choice) of the WNBA 2020 project. She spent three seasons with the wings as a reserve. However, the 2024 season was her best as a professional. In its first opportunity as a full -time starter in WNBA, Harris averaged 10.5 points, three assists and theft. It also ended the year ranked in the top 10 in the league in a 3 -point shooting rate (39.5%).

The wings in Dallas did not make the playoffs of WNBA 2024. Both Harris and Herbert Harrigo (with the Sun and Mercury respectively) made the Petar.

During their women’s career as South Carolina, Herbert Harrigan and Harris played together for four years. The duo won the 2016-2017 National Championship as freshmen. Both players continued to become All-SEC players, and Harris was even all-American.
