Putting your luggage can help you track your bag. But thousands of passengers were disappointed when they lost their luggage and could tell the airlines exactly where their bag uses sharing my location and that did not help.
Now, several airlines have announced that they will work with customers with iPhone and Airtags to find their luggage using a link generated in the Find My app.
United, Air Canada and Aer Lingus are already supporting the sharing of my location with close to another 20 that come on board soon. These include Delta, Klm, Lufthansa, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Qantas.
