LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) – District Seven welcomes a new clinic on Mines Rd. region. There are currently no clinics west of I-35, making this the first clinic on Mines Rd.
The Barbara Fasken Health Clinic will serve the surrounding neighborhoods and the trucking community that passes through the area.
The clinic will be able to provide primary care, dental and psychiatric services for adults and children.
The project was made possible by over $1 million in federal funding.
According to David Vazquez of the Gateway Community Health Center, “the area is very high traffic and a lot of people can stay in our city for a few days depending on how the bridge operations work and whatnot. The clinic will be here to serve them while they are in our city or if they are residents of Webb County.”
The current goal is to have the project completed by next summer.
