A man rushed to hospital after A441 Pershore Road Scooter crash in Birmingham – Birmingham Live

Paramedics treated the man of the scene for serious injuries

A man was taken to a hospital with serious injuries after a clash between a scooter and a car in Birmingham.

The crash happened on the A441 Pershore Road – which was blocked in both directions for a few hours – about 2.45pm this afternoon, February 19th.

The paramedics treated the man at the scene for serious, but not life -threatening, injuries.

Later, Queen Elizabeth was transported to hospital.

This was not clear from the West Midlands ambulance service whether the man was driving a scooter.

The ambulance service also did not specify whether it was an electric scooter or a motorcycle.

The police border was in place of Perchor Road, between Pebble Mill Road and Oakfield Road, about two hours before being lifted.

Drivers have announced that they have stuck to delay traffic in peak after the collision.

A spokesman for the West Midlands ambulance service told Birminghamlive: “We were called to report on Pershore Road RTC, Birmingham, at 14.45.

“An ambulance was sent to the scene, where, upon arrival, the crews found a car and a scooter participated in a collision.

“A person is treated by ambulance officials for serious but not life -threatening, injuries and transmitted under urgent conditions at Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital.”
