A man killed, a woman wounded at night, with the participation of Phoenix police officers in Gilbert – ktar.com

Phoenix – a man was killed and a woman was injured in the night shooting involving Police Police Office in Gilbert, authorities said on Wednesday.

Police said the fatal shooting was associated with a more incident near the 51st Avenue and Interstate 10 in Phoenix, where a man was seen to force a woman in a truck around 5:40 pm Tuesday.

Phoenix police followed the truck to Williams Field and Higli Rhodes in Gilbert shortly after midnight.

No details were released about what prompted the police to shoot at the vehicle, which could be seen in television news footage, with the rear windshield missing.

Both residents were taken to hospital with firearms, police said. The man did not experience his injuries.

No employees were injured during the incident.

No other details were provided. The Gilbert Police Department is involved in the shooting investigation.
