A 54-year-old Cuban man named Hesus Rodriguez He was removed by police in Hyalus this week after an incident, in which he allegedly threatened another man with his pocket knife.

According to police reports, Rodriguez began to lag behind for no clear reason, while the two were in the parking lot of a home depot located at the intersection of the 49th street and the 16th Avenue West.

The situation became more dangerous when the victim was confronted with Rodriguez, who then ignited the pocket knife, threatening to kill him. Fortunately, the victim was able to distance himself quickly, avoiding direct damage while Rodriguez tried to hide among the parked cars.

A witness who watched the entire episode approached a police officer on the hyaliah nearby and reported the threat. Thanks to the rapid action of this officer, Rodriguez was detained shortly after the incident.

After his arrest, the officers found a knife in Rodriguez’s pocket, confirming the witness’s account of the threat.

“They say he has pulled a knife to a truck driver,” a local Cuban, familiar with Rodriguez, told America Teve. “He’s not an aggressive man. We’ve known him for years. He’s getting along with everyone here. We are all looking for a job in this area and he has always been friendly with us,” he added, expressing his surprise from the incident.

Another Cuban, who also visits the area, sounded this mood, saying, “He is not aggressive or something else. I don’t know what might happen. We need to understand what really happens.”
