Raleigh, NC (Wral) – One is behind bars for the alleged performance of an immigration and customs -executing employee in roles, North Carolina.
The 37-year-old has been accused of sexual assault on a woman in a motel over the weekend.
Motel 6, located on the court of roles, is the place of the reported rape on Sunday.
Arrest curtains say Carl Bennett has gone to the site and committed a number of crimes, including many sexual crimes.
According to the arrest documents, Bennett has threatened to deport the victim if she has not had sex with him. He is said to have shown a business card with a badge on it.
“This is some perfect storm that is happening right now and opens up opportunities for people who do not make any kind of law enforcement to take advantage of people in terrible ways,” said Nicky Baena of Siembra NC.
Siembra NC is a major organization focused on protecting immigrants rights.
Baena said that people pursue the feeling of fear that some immigrants have with immigration and customs application. She is not surprised by the allegations of intimidation by presentation, given the current political climate.
“People would not be surprised that an ice agent acted inappropriately because they often act in inappropriate ways to get people information,” Baena said.
The relic police did not share the competition or immigration status of the victim that participated.
Bennett has been accused of many sexual crimes.
