Tallahasee, Florida (WCTV) – Some Tallahasese international travelers were left restless on Thursday after learning a collision in the middle between an army helicopter and a US Airlines flight left all 67 on board the two aircraft who died near Washington on Wresident.
The Associated Press reports that at least 28 bodies were drawn from the Potomak River after the helicopter entered the aircraft path while landing at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport on Wednesday night.
A flight from TLH to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport was canceled Thursday morning.
Other flights to American Airlines were delayed but not canceled.

“I think it was a little strange because everyone saw the news stories last night,” said James Alessandrelli, Flyer on TLH. “I think many of TSA agents were a little less friendly than normal because of all this.”
Another man told me that his wife was flying for the first time in years. As they briefly discussed the crash last night, they said they were leaving their fate in the hands of God.
“We belong to the Lord and He controls everything if it is time to go, it’s time to go,” the man said.
The clash of the aircraft on Wednesday night is the most deadly air accident in the United States since 2001, according to the Associated Press.
