Jacksonville, Florida (WSVN) -Division I Basketball player I was arrested in Jacksonville for being claimed to have killed his mother, authorities said.
28-year-old Eric Kob was removed on Monday after MPs from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s office responded at home on 15th street west in the mid-west neighborhood.
The officers found 51-year-old Erica Wonford, who did not respond in the backyard, wrapped in a blanket and towels, with a fatal firearm. She was declared dead in place.
The MPs detained Cob as he tried to leave home. After an interview, murder detectives arrested him on charges of murder.
Cobb, formerly 6 feet-9 former basketball basketball, has previously played for the University of Connecticut and the University of South Carolina.
He is currently kept in the prison of Duvall County.
