Miami-Dad County, flag. -a college police officer at the Miami-Dad schools received a prison sentence on Friday, years after shooting his ex-boyfriend, who is a sheriff’s deputy in Miami-Dad.
Jesseni Sanchez, 35 -year -old, pleaded guilty to charges of first -degree murder and was aggravated and was sentenced to 30 years in prison, followed by a 20 -year probationary period.
She is ordered to stay away from MDSO’s deputy Damian Colon and is not allowed to have contact with him.
Last month’s observation video from Local 10 News shows the shooting in November 2022.
According to authorities, Sanchez, who was arrested in 2022, followed a colon at his Hyalea home before shooting him in the head and running away from the stage.
The surveillance frames capture the two outside the home.
Moments later, Sanchez, while holding a gun in his hand, seemed to fire a shot, causing a colon to collapse.
After the shooting, security footage from the neighborhood shows that her truck crashed into numerous parked vehicles before abandoning it and running.
Investigators say Sanchez used an application to track Colon to his Hyalea Home, shoot him, and “leave a way to destroy” behind him.
The deputies said Colon was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but he survived.
Authorities said Sanchez was later arrested at his Hyalea home.
