A Boise resident was fired by Space Force Post. Trump wants it in a key role of Air Force – AOL

President Donald Trump has announced plans to nominate a Boise resident for the Second US Air Force Command.

“I’m glad to announce that Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Lochmeier will be the next United States under the Air Force Secretary,” Trump wrote on Social Media on Friday.

As Deputy Secretary Lochmeier will be No. 2-Classified civilian and deputy nominee for the Trump Air Force Secretary, Troy Meink.

Lochmeier joined the Air Force in 2006 and became an instructor pilot after graduating from the Air Force Academy, according to a biography of the Congress Website. He transferred to space forces in October 2020 and shortly after taking the command of the 11th space warning squadron, which provides a warning and tracking of missiles and tracking worldwide, according to the Air Force Times.

The squadron is located at the Buckley Space Forces Base in Aurora, Colorado, just outside Denver.

Lohmeier’s Facebook page says he lives in Boise, although he is from Tuson, Arizona. The website tells him that he “lives with his wife and children in Idaho.”

It first attracted national attention in 2021 after the independent publication of a book, which is believed to have become widespread within the US military. The book also criticizes the allegations of white supremacy in the military, ideas for systemic racism, initiatives to move Black Lives Matter and diversity.

Shortly thereafter, employees fired Lochmeyer from his position to command the Space Forces for comments made during the promotion of the book on conservative podcasts.

“This decision is based on public comments made by Lieutenant Colonel Lochmeier in a recent podcast,” a spokesman for space forces told Alily.com. “Lt. General Wyling has initiated a command aimed at investigating whether these comments are a forbidden guerrilla political activity. “

The Air Force Office of the Inspector Air Force began investigating Lochmeyer, but had cut off the investigation after voluntarily leaving an active duty, according to The Air Force Times and the Lohmeier website.

Laheyer’s political ideology seems to be exactly what Trump’s nomination won. “Matthew will work with the great defense nominee, Pete Heget, to end the devastating” awakened “policies that have destroyed our military and to make our country strong again.”
