Consumption includes drinking, brushing teeth, making ice, preparing food, washing fruits and vegetables, eating pets, and making baby formula. Customers should not boil the water before using it for showering or bathing.

Before the boil water advisory is lifted, the CFPUA says its lab staff tests the water to make sure it’s safe to drink.
