CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Here we’re tracking the results of South Carolina’s 2024 presidential election.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 5. Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump are competing to take over the White House.
South Carolina is a red state and has voted for a Republican president in every election for the past 50 years. Trump won South Carolina by more than 10 points in 2020 when he was running against incumbent Joe Biden — though Trump ultimately lost the 2020 election.
South Carolina has nine electoral votes. A presidential candidate needs at least 270 electoral votes to win the election.

The election results will become visible after they are counted after the polls close on November 5.
