Mobile home, gas station go up in flames early Monday, TFD says – AOL

A mobile home and a gas station separately burned early Monday morning, according to the Tallahassee Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to a mobile home around 2:40 a.m. in the 9500 block of Lance Road in south Leon County, according to a TFD news release.

Heavy flames engulfed the home, but firefighters “worked quickly to contain and extinguish the fire,” TFD said. “All occupants were out of the home when firefighters arrived and no injuries were reported.”

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Less than two hours later, firefighters responded to a fire at the Marathon gas station located at 4375 N. Monroe St. When TFD arrived, heavy fire was coming from the storefront and firefighters began to extinguish the fire and “secure the nearby area. “

“No injuries were reported,” TFD said. “The State Fire Marshal’s Office was called in to investigate the cause of this fire, which remains under investigation.”

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Leon County EMS and Talquin Electric Cooperative assisted TFD on scene with both fires.
