Samoa is hosting a Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (Chogm) themed ‘A Sustainable Shared Future’.
The King is head of the Commonwealth and for the first time will chair the meeting of Presidents and Prime Ministers and officially open the event, which will be attended by Sir Keir Starmer.
Charles was Queen Elizabeth II’s deputy at the last Chogm hosted by Rwanda in 2022, and will be joined in Samoa by Foreign Minister David Lammy.
The royal couple will fly from Australia, where they enjoyed a six-day visit that ended with a visit to the Sydney Opera House on Tuesday and meeting some of the thousands of well-wishers who had gathered.
