New Christmas attraction opens Friday, meet new Lubbock Light Park – News/Talk 790 KFYO

If you’re a fan of Christmas lights and displays, or at least have kids who enjoy lights, music and displays, you’ll want to check out the newest Christmas attraction opening soon in Lubbock.

If you’ve driven down the South Loop around Home Depot and South Plains Mall, you’ve probably seen Christmas window displays being put up, and starting this Friday, November 8th, the displays will be up, the lights will be up and the Christmas music will be playing.

Lubbock Light Park opens November 8th

Lubbock Light Park is Lubbock’s premier holiday ride. Lubbock Light Park, located between Home Depot and Premiere Cinemas and South Plains Mall, will be open daily beginning Friday, November 8. Opening hours will be 5.30pm to 11pm Friday to Sunday and 5.30pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday. Entry fee is $30 per car load and there is no limit to how many people can be in the car, just remember to drive safely. It is recommended to buy a ticket online in advance to avoid a long wait. You can purchase tickets and get more information at lubbocklightpark.com.

It’s a driving experience and the music will be played through a radio station on your car stereo. Visitors to Lubbock Light Park will experience an 80-yard light tunnel, 17-foot-tall lighted trees and thousands of lights that are synchronized to music.

The plan is for Lubbock Light Park to get bigger every year.

I’m pretty sure Lubbock Light Park will become another favorite of the Lubbock Christmas season.

I recently went into Buc-ee’s in Fort Worth and even though we are still days away from Halloween, they already had some Christmas and holiday decorations and gifts available for purchase. These are the best items I found that were available as of 10/21/24. Of course, availability will vary.
