Tallahassee firefighters put out two fires early Monday morning – WCTV

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A mobile home and commercial building caught fire early Monday morning, according to the Tallahassee Fire Department.

The two fires were 17 miles apart.

Firefighters responded to a fire in the 9500 block of Lance Road just after 2:30 a.m., according to a TFD news release.

Once firefighters arrived, TFD said heavy flames were seen coming from a mobile home. The teams quickly extinguished the fire.

All occupants were out of the home when firefighters arrived, according to the fire department.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

A second fire broke out shortly before 4:15 a.m. at a commercial building in the 4300 block of North Monroe Street, TFD said.

Firefighters arrived on scene and found heavy fire coming from the building, prompting firefighters to extinguish the fire.

No injuries were reported.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office was called in to investigate the cause of the fire.
