Tour stops include Nashville, Tucson, Louisville and more
Ricky Skaggs has announced his 2024 holiday tour — Ricky Skaggs and the Kentucky Thunder Christmas. Skaggs and his ace band, Kentucky Thunder, are going on tour this December with 13 Christmas concerts across the country.
Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder to play in Nashville; Tucson, Arizona; Huntington, West Virginia; Richmond, Kentucky; Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania; Louisville, Kentucky; Knoxville, Tennessee; and since December 5.
The show will feature both old and new songs as Skaggs and his band perform their perfect blend of tight harmony in their refreshing acoustic style.
“This is my favorite time of year,” Skaggs explains. “Not only do we celebrate the birth of the Savior, but we also get to play some really fun music. I hope you will come out and see one of our Kentucky Thunder Christmas shows. It is a joyful time. You will love it.”
Concertgoers can expect to hear the bluegrass tune “Christmas Time’s A Comin'” along with a rendition of “New Star Shining,” a hit song by Skaggs and James Taylor. Classic favorites ‘Silent Night’, ‘Deck the Halls’ and ‘Let it Snow’ are part of the show, along with many other special Christmas tunes. This seasonal show features sing-a-longs, rounding out an exclusive assortment of holiday favorites.
