ODAC fans were treated to a quartet of good games in Week 9 of the Division III season, a set that left one team alone atop the ODAC standings.

Randolph-Macon is this team at 5-0 in league play (7-1 overall) after a 20-7 road win at Washington and Lee. Two short TD runs by Dante Casiola and two field goals by Kyle Ile fueled RMC’s offense while the Yellow Jackets’ defense limited the Generals’ offense to just 89 yards.

Ferrum got back in the win column with another 20-7 score on the road at Guilford. Running back Jahilon Lee broke 200 yards for the first time in the ODAC this season, while kicker Seth Deaton had a school-record field goal.

Hampden-Sydney won for the second week in a row with a 28-21 road victory Bridgewater. Carter Sydow threw for three touchdowns and Terry Hicks ran for 195 yards. Brendan Wallace led a stout Tigers defense that forced a pair of turnovers.

Shenandoah joined BC and H-SC at 3-2 in the league standings with its second straight win, a 41-14 triumph at Averett. The Hornets got five rushing touchdowns from Jalen Redfearn (3) and Bryce Buchanan (2) to fuel the offense, while the SU defense took the ball away three times, keeping the Cougars from getting on the scoreboard until the fourth quarter.

Only two weeks of regular season play remain before we learn not only which teams will play in the Division III tournament, but which two ODAC teams will face Landmark Conference teams in the second edition of the Chesapeake Challenge in Salem on Nov. 23 .
