“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Donald Trump is a 78-year-old billionaire who hasn’t stopped whining about his problems since he went down the golden escalator nine years ago,” Obama told a crowd gathered in a high school auditorium. . “This man can think of no one but himself.”

During the 40-minute speech, Obama was confident that Harris was ready to be president.

“Kamala Harris has no concept of a plan. She has a real plan to make your life better. She has a plan to lower the prices of things like groceries. She will go after corporations that drive up prices, just as she went after big banks and for-profit colleges when she was California’s attorney general to lower housing costs.

Kamala will cut red tape and work with state and local governments, as well as the private sector, to build 3 million new homes. She has a specific plan for this. And then she will give first-time buyers up to $25,000 to help with the down payment,” Obama said.

“For many people, the cost of everything from health care to housing to groceries is still too high, it hurts,” Obama said. “The question is who is actually going to do something about it,” Obama asked the audience.

“Kamala,” they replied.

Obama acknowledged that immigration also needs to be addressed. He also raised the topic of abortion.

“This election is about more than politics,” Obama added. “It’s about values and about character.”
