BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Birmingham Max Transit announced this week that it is offering free bus service for Election Day this Tuesday, November 5th.
Officials say the service will provide transportation for riders throughout the day with fixed-route buses, the Magic City Connecter and the Birmingham Xpress (BRT), where passengers can get to their designated polling locations without tolls.
“We believe that access to transportation should never be a barrier to exercising the right to vote,” said Amanda Hare. “By offering free rides on Election Day, we hope to make it easier for members of our community to make their voices heard.”
Election Day transportation service includes Paratransit but excludes MAX On-Demand.
