One Killed in Sparks West Firing; shooter who cooperated with the police – KOLO

SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) – A man has died after he was shot Saturday night following a fight in west Sparks.

The shooter is cooperating with the Sparks Police Department. They have not announced charges at this time.

Police said they went to an apartment complex in the 1000 block of El Rancho Drive near Teglia’s Paradise Park around 10:33 p.m. after reports of gunshots and people screaming.

Police found a man shot. They provided medical aid and an ambulance took him to the hospital, where he died.

An investigation showed that the deceased and another man had fought. This led to the shooting of one man. He left the area but later called the police to report what had happened.

“The man involved is cooperating with the investigation,” police said in a statement. “There are no outstanding issues and no risk to the community.”

Police have not released the name of the dead man or the shooter.
