TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Northeast Kansas is expecting a drier day for Sunday, but more rain will fall tonight.
A few isolated thunderstorms are expected to develop across Central Kansas this evening, possibly reaching severe status. Some of these storms may reach west into our region, specifically around the Concordia area. The environment won’t be as favorable for stronger storms in our region and we’re expected to remain below the severe threshold, but we’ll be watching to see if some storms can maintain their intensity.
Monday will be more like Saturday with steady rain throughout the day, although there is a serious risk just to our southeast in parts of SW Missouri. Again, Northeast Kansas should miss out on serious development, but is worth a look due to its proximity to our region.
We’re dry until Election Day, with highs hovering around 60 by the end of the week. Additional precipitation is expected by the end of the week.
