BURLINGTON, Va. – Sofia Driss had two first-half assists as the Catamounts (8-8, 3-3 AE) scored once in each quarter to defeat Hofstra (4-15, 2-4 CAA) on Senior Day.

“It was a good overall effort from the attacking side, we got some nice corners and the field goal at the end was a really good thing to have a real team effort for this win,” said the head coach Kate Pfeiffer. “We have a big senior class this year and I’m really happy to be able to support them with a win and a break on senior day, that’s a really good thing.”

- Sofia Lefranc opened the scoring when she headed home Drees’ pass in the seventh minute.
- Marie Dijkstra doubled the Catamount lead when she turned in a Drees pass in the 25th minute.
- Lotte Kanters made it 3-0 when he scored from the penalty spot in the 38th minute.
- Maddie Priestley got Vermont’s fourth when she scored off an assist from Olivia Nolan in the 56th minute.
INSIDE THE BOX RESULT
- Merle Waandrager had five saves while recording his fourth complete game shutout of the season.
- Dijkstra’s goal in the 25th minute was her 10th of the year, making her the third Catamount in the last two years to reach double figures.
- Maddie Weaver recorded his first career defensive save in the third quarter.
- Canters’ penalty kick goal was the first of her career at Vermont, but fifth overall.

The Catamounts will travel to Albany, NY, next week to compete in the America East playoffs. They will face fifth-seeded UMass Lowell in the quarterfinals at 2 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+, with Michael Johnson Jr. and Kristie Becker.
