LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) – Juvencio Estrada, a flight nurse with the Air Evac Lifeteam, has been named one of 33 Global Medical Response Stars of Life – one of the highest honors for emergency medical professionals nationwide.
The Stars of Life program recognizes first responders who have performed extraordinary actions to benefit patients, colleagues and communities. Estrada was nominated for his quick and life-saving intervention after a critical crash involving an 18-wheeler and an emergency crew.
He, along with other honorees, will be recognized at the American Ambulance Association’s Stars of Life Awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., this November.
