After a 35-11 loss against the North Carolina Tar Heels, the Florida State Seminoles and head coach Mike Norvell are facing significant backlash as they fall to 1-8 on the season.

Just one year after going 13-1 and ending the season ranked No. 6, Norvell and his team have managed to win just one game so far this season.

After taking a field goal lead in the first quarter, the Seminoles allowed the Tar Heels to score 21 straight points, failing to find the end zone until the 6:24 mark of the third quarter.

Quarterback Brock Glenn completed 6 of 11 passes for 123 yards and one touchdown before freshman Luke Cromenhook stepped in, completing 2 of 7 passes for 36 yards and two interceptions.

Tar Heels quarterback Jacolby Criswell completed 13 of 17 passes for 211 yards and one touchdown.

In his fifth year with FSU, Norvell led the Seminoles to a No. 10 ranking on the season, but started 0-3, securing their only win against the California Golden Bears in Week 4.

FSU fans took to social media to express their frustration with the program’s lack of offensive success compared to just a year ago.

Brian Deeds @bryanDeeds

I’ve never hated a FSU team… until this year, overpaid, embarrassing bunch. Don’t even play with pride for yourself

The Seminoles will face Notre Dame on the road next Sunday as they continue to look for their second win of the season.
