CATCH THE FOOTBALL
I know it might seem trivial to suggest this from Florida State’s receivers at this point, but the Seminoles have been terrible this year at focusing on catching the football.
I realized it was probably going to be a bad year after losing the likes of the ultra-talented Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson to the NFL. However, the Seminoles added Alabama’s Malik Benson and LSU’s Jalen Brown via the transfer portal.
I thought Florida State would at least be usable at that position. However, they look similar to the 2021 group that was considered the worst in the conference. The quarterback play of DJ Uiagalelei, Brock Glenn and Luke Kromenhoek didn’t help them either.
Veteran JaKhi Douglas was arguably the best and most consistent wide receiver on the roster. It’s a shame that the student won’t even get to witness a bowl game in their senior year. However, I hope the Seminoles can generate enough confidence to catch the football on Saturday against North Carolina.
