No. 10 Texas A&M suffered a 44-20 loss to South Carolina on Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium.
The Aggies were clear on top of the SEC with an unblemished conference record, but they stumbled with a road game against the Gamecocks.
A&M usually dominated the game, but South Carolina owned the trenches on the night. Running back Raheem Sanders rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns, and quarterback LaNorris Sellers added 106 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Meanwhile, the Aggies had to deal with a tough South Carolina defensive front without leading rusher Le’Veon Moss, who left the game early with an injury.
Here’s a look at what was written nationally and in Colombia after the match.

“This is a significant blow to the Aggies’ College Football Playoff hopes. Texas A&M entered the weekend as the only SEC team without a conference loss, but suffering its second loss overall reduced the Aggies’ margin for error the rest of the way.” (The Athletic)
“The result left Aggies fans stunned, desperately trying to figure out how this was Jimbo Fisher’s mistake, while Shane Beamer now has the Gamecocks at 5-3 and all but guaranteed a bowl while FCS Wofford is still on the roster.” (ESPN)

“Although A&M coach Mike Elko didn’t officially name a starter before the game, this spark made it pretty clear that [Marcel] Reid would be the man against South Carolina. However, the offense wasn’t as good with Reid on the field Saturday night as it was against LSU, and suffered a big loss when running back Le’Veon Moss left the game in the first half with a knee injury.” (Yahoo Sports)
