Back in June we reported that exciting plans had been unveiled to transform the former M&Co department store.
The proposals sought to change the use of the old Bridgegate store, which closed in 2023 when the clothes retailer collapsed.
The plans called for a new facility to be created within the premises, which included the introduction of a ten-pin bowling alley, a golf simulator, a karaoke room, a snooker/pool room and a public bar with outside seating.
North Ayrshire Council approved the plans just a month later – and now another application has been submitted to the authority for the site.
Ahead of the Licensing Board meeting in December, documents detailing the applications received for premises licenses were published.
In them there is a request from the establishment, which is called “Pops Bar”, for a license to sell alcohol.
Further information has not been detailed at this early stage, but objections or submissions can now be made in support of the application.
These should be emailed to [email protected] or sent in writing to 1st Floor Cunninghame House, Irvine, KA12 8EE before 8 November.
The application will then be put to the board for approval when they meet on Monday, December 2.
